Thinking Plague

Thinking Plague are one of the most creative, original, adventurous bands on the planet.   They were one of the few ’80s pioneers of cross-genre experimentation: dark, spare, sinister and dissonant and beautiful, with that very 80s-appropriate sense of menace and struggle, held in a framework of ravishing instrumentation.   Never forced, never complexity for its own sake, but thrilling and deeply emotional, the challenging aspects balanced by pure and haunting (usually) female vocals.   Most awesomely, they are still around, still gigging and composing (if sparsely and slowly), and they are yet to take a backward step.
